Hi, I'm Elaine and I'm a busy mum with a passion for decluttering and home organisation. When I have any spare time at home, I can often be found sorting cupboards or with my nose in a home interiors magazine!

For the past 20 years I have been using my organisational skills working as an administrator and PA.
I have a Degree in Design, and have completed a course in Home Styling through Chelsea College of Arts.
I believe in using what you have to the best effect, and creating your own style, rather than necessarily spending money on the latest trends. Working with people has always been a big part of my life, and I have a calm and positive attitude.
I am a member of APDO, the Association of Professional Declutterers & Organisers, and have completed their training course - Starting a Professional Organising Business.

With my three children having (mostly) flown the nest, I now concentrate on my spaniels and bike, both getting me up and outdoors, rain or shine – it is amazing what can be done before 7am! Hello, I am also Elaine and I thrive on a busy life, successfully juggling family and work. With my three children having (mostly) flown the nest, I now concentrate on my spaniels and bike, both getting me up and outdoors, rain or shine – it is amazing what can be done before 7am! I have an artistic nature and a passion for order and reuse, often bringing ‘love’ back to an item/space which has been deemed not fit for purpose! My job in a school continuously draws on my excellent organisational skills and I suppose I live by the motto ‘let’s just get it done’ - possibly the reason why I am often called upon by family and friends in their own times of re-organisation! I was once told by a former colleague ‘everyone needs an Elaine in their life’. Well, with Simplify and Style you have two - each with a very different skill set, one complimenting the other 😊.
